a Belgian Jesuit. He was the author of Moral Theology books and ascetic. He studied philosophy at Brescia for three years and then returned to the Netherlands . He was Professor of philosophy and humanities at the college Anchin of Douai then at Louvain , he was ordained priest in 1598 and spent the rest of his life teaching and translating many books of the Italian and the Spanish. His religious works particularly stigmatized sensual pleasures: gluttony, alcoholism and lust.
