a Venezuelan-born Spanish writer, politician and military officer who served in the First Carlist War and the Spanish-Moroccan War of 1859. He wrote in El Siglo and thought. He wrote the foreword to The World Devil Espronceda, described by Marcelino Menéndez Pelayo of "mystagogical apocalyptic" but gave much fame for her on romance. He collaborated with Espronceda in Comedy Neither the uncle and nephew, who then repudiated. He picked up his poetic creation in Poems (1886), which reveal influence of Espronceda and Enrique Gil y Carrasco .
