a French poet and army officer. After a botched education, St. Aulaire entered the army and distinguished himself by his bravery, which led him to Lieutenant General rank. He also frequently fought a duel over a restless youth. He left the military career and came to live in Paris. He was a man of pleasant manners, delicate and sharp. He was welcomed in living rooms and made himself a witty conversationalist reputation. We noticed primarily for its spread, his kind words and for the madrigals he knew rhyme with ease and enliven a piquant trait.
