Composers
borndied
17381819
a French musician and composer born in Nomeny in Lorraine, and died at Fontainebleau. Tapray's works are part of the period from the harpsichord to the pianoforte. In some of his works, the composer simultaneously uses the two instruments in opposition. Piano sonatas are, as is frequently the use in the eighteenth century, accompanied by a violin or a cello, while the keyboard instrument supports the melodic part.
