1823, Feb 81844-18611880, May 20
a Hungarian sculptor. His sculptural style integrated elements of classicism and romanticism. Alexy is perhaps most famous for his series of field marshal sculptures which he began in 1844. He did plan a sculpture of "King Matthias" of Hungary but it did not prove to be successful. In 1845 he worked on sculptures for the Hermina Chapel in Budapest.
