Kolonial Kids
Children's lives in
the American colonial era were much different than they are today.. Many households were self-sufficient, and children were expected to share the burden of chores and upkeep. Many children worked much of the time, with the remaining hours dedicated to education; there was much less "free time" for children to play.

But, kids being kids, the managed to have fun where and whenever they could. Some of the pages in this section bring their lives to the modern day, describing games, toys, and other aspects that pertain to early American children. Other pages try to bring colonial-themed crafts and other activities to the modern-day child to learn about and have fun with their 18th-century counterparts.
