Ingredients
  1. 2 quarts of the juice of oranges and lemons
  2. 4r 1/2 pounds sugar
  3. 9 quarts spirits
Directions
  • Take the juice of the fruits and dissolve in it the sugar
  • Steep one-fourth part of the oranges and lemons in the spirits for one night
  • Afterwards, add the remaining juice and mix the whole together
  • Strain it off into a jug, which must be shaken two or three times a day for ten days
  • Let it stand to settle for a fortnight
  • Draw it off very carefully, without disturbing the sediment
