an English landscape-painter. Hunt was an active member at the Liverpool Academy. He, David Cox and his son would go on painting trips where both friends would admire the precocious talents of his son, Alfred William Hunt. Hunt was unwilling to let his son to become an artist and arranged for him to join Oxford University where he eventually read classics. Hunt exhibited regularly at the Academy and his work and he had three pictures at the Society of British Artists and two at the Royal Academy in the 1850s
