a German artist. He studied in Dresden, Berlin, and Düsseldorf; his paintings, chiefly genre subjects and portraits, were popular. He is associated with the Düsseldorf school of painting. Boser first attended the academies of Dresden (1826-1832) and Berlin (1834-1836). 1837/1838 he received the 2nd class of historical painting at the Dusseldorf Art Academy. By 1843 Boser was perceived as an important genre and portrait painter of the Düsseldorf School. Boser demonstrated their fine art and a detailed design of the subjects.
