a composer from Liège.. After his apprenticeship with his father Henri-Guillaume Hamal (a pupil of Lambert Pietkin ), also a composer, he became a six-year-old master of the cathedral Notre-Dame and Saint-Lambert under Henri-Denis Dupont . It was a musical ensemble of more than thirty musicians, which he directed from 1737 to 1770. He completed his formation from 1728 to 1731 at the Larch College Darchis in Rome, founded in 1699 by Canon Darchis, where he received lessons from Giuseppe Amadori (1670-1730).
