Uliginous

Moist, damp, slimy. Latin uliginem, moisture. Also uliginose. Uliginal, growing in moist ground. Used in the 16th and 17th centuries, though William Henry Smyth's SAILOR'S WORD-BOOK of 1867 lists uliginous channels: those connecting the branches of rivers, by cuts through the soil.
